Few clubs are more important to the history of American golf than 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐠𝐨 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐟 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛. Founded in 1892, the club debuted the first 18-hole golf course in the United States in 1893 and became one of the five founding member clubs of the USGA the following year. The course traces its roots to 𝐂.𝐁. 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐝, one of the most influential figures in early American golf, before 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐫 redesigned the layout in 1923 using the ideal-hole concepts that would become hallmarks of their architectural legacy. Golf Digest currently ranks Chicago Golf Club 𝐍𝐨. 𝟏𝟏 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 and 𝐍𝐨. 𝟏 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐬 for 2025-26. Chicago Golf Club has also hosted generations of championship golf, including three U.S. Opens, four U.S. Amateurs, the U.S. Women’s Amateur, multiple Walker Cups and the inaugural U.S. Senior Women’s Open. The club is scheduled to welcome the U.S. Women’s Open in 2033 and the Walker Cup again in 2036. This exclusive experience invites 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 to join a Chicago Golf Club member for a round at one of the most historic and highly ranked private clubs in the world, followed by lunch and a tour of the club’s storied clubhouse. A note from American Junior Golf Association: The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. We are raising money to support junior golfers who lack the financial resources to compete in national golf events. All funds raised from this auction will be used to provide scholarships allowing these juniors and their families to get reimbursed for travel related expenses, tournament fees, equipment, and other expenses related to being competitive.
The AJGA hosts over 150 tournaments a year and college coaches, equipment suppliers, and sponsors are invited to each event giving these juniors a chance to display their skills and earn college scholarships.
Every dollar raised through this auction will go directly back to the juniors and our Liberty National Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant. Tax receipts will be sent to the winning bidder. Questions can be directed to the AJGA by emailing pclarke@ajga.org.
