Experience one of America’s great classic private clubs with a 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛, accompanied by a member and complete with lunch at the club. Golf Digest currently ranks Plainfield 𝐍𝐨. 𝟗𝟎 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 and 𝐍𝐨. 𝟓 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐲 for 2025-26. The centerpiece of Plainfield is its celebrated 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐬 design, routed across naturally rolling terrain and highlighted by the strategic green complexes, contours and shot options that define Ross’ best work. Beginning in the late 1990s, 𝐆𝐢𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐞 and his team undertook an extensive restoration that revived lost Ross features, restored bunkers and playing angles and opened dramatic views across the property. Golf Digest now ranks Plainfield among the 10 best Donald Ross courses in the country. Plainfield also owns a formidable championship résumé. The club hosted the 1978 U.S. Amateur, the 1987 U.S. Women’s Open, The Barclays in 2011 and 2015, and the 2025 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball. Its list of champions includes 𝐃𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧, 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲, 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐬 and 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐤. This is a rare opportunity to experience a nationally ranked Donald Ross masterpiece alongside a member, followed by lunch at one of New Jersey’s most historic private clubs.
