Experience one of the country’s great Golden Age designs with a 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, accompanied by a club member. Golf Digest currently ranks Old Town 𝐍𝐨. 𝟑𝟗 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 and No. 3 in North Carolina for 2025-26. Designed by legendary architect 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 and opened in 1939, Old Town was created on the former R.J. Reynolds Estate over some of the most naturally undulating terrain in inland golf. Maxwell’s routing features broad fairways, meandering creeks, dramatic elevation changes and the bold green contours that became a trademark of his work. 𝐁𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐰 later helped restore the course’s strategic character, reshaping bunkers and opening sightlines while preserving Maxwell’s original routing and distinctive architecture. The result has propelled Old Town steadily upward in the national rankings, establishing it as one of America’s premier private golf experiences. This is a rare opportunity to experience a nationally ranked private club and one of Perry Maxwell’s most celebrated designs alongside a member. A note from American Junior Golf Association: The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. We are raising money to support junior golfers who lack the financial resources to compete in national golf events. All funds raised from this auction will be used to provide scholarships allowing these juniors and their families to get reimbursed for travel related expenses, tournament fees, equipment, and other expenses related to being competitive.
The AJGA hosts over 150 tournaments a year and college coaches, equipment suppliers, and sponsors are invited to each event giving these juniors a chance to display their skills and earn college scholarships.
Every dollar raised through this auction will go directly back to the juniors and our Liberty National Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant. Tax receipts will be sent to the winning bidder. Questions can be directed to the AJGA by emailing pclarke@ajga.org.
