Spend an unforgettable golf and hockey weekend in Tampa with 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐟 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛, an overnight stay in the club’s onsite cabins, tickets to a 𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞 and a Sunday round hosted by Lightning legend 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫. The weekend begins Saturday with golf at 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥, one of Tampa’s premier private clubs and currently ranked 𝐍𝐨. 𝟏𝟖 𝐢𝐧 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚 by Golf Digest. Designed by Steve Smyers, the course is known for its distinctive Australian Sandbelt-inspired bunkering, strategic width and firm, thoughtful approach to championship golf. Smyers returned in 2020 to make significant updates to the course while preserving the character that has defined Old Memorial since its opening. After golf, head to 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐚 for a Tampa Bay Lightning game before returning to Old Memorial for an overnight stay in the club’s cabins. Sunday morning brings another round at Old Memorial, this time alongside 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫. Selected No. 1 overall by Tampa Bay in the 1998 NHL Draft, Lecavalier spent 14 seasons with the Lightning, helped lead the franchise to its first 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐂𝐮𝐩 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟒 and won the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy as the NHL’s leading goal scorer in 2006-07. His No. 4 was retired by the Lightning in 2018. From private golf and an NHL game to an overnight stay and a round with one of Tampa Bay sports’ most recognizable figures, this is a one-of-a-kind weekend combining two of the city’s great sporting experiences. A note from American Junior Golf Association: The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. We are raising money to support junior golfers who lack the financial resources to compete in national golf events. All funds raised from this auction will be used to provide scholarships allowing these juniors and their families to get reimbursed for travel related expenses, tournament fees, equipment, and other expenses related to being competitive.
The AJGA hosts over 150 tournaments a year and college coaches, equipment suppliers, and sponsors are invited to each event giving these juniors a chance to display their skills and earn college scholarships.
Every dollar raised through this auction will go directly back to the juniors and our Liberty National Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant. Tax receipts will be sent to the winning bidder. Questions can be directed to the AJGA by emailing pclarke@ajga.org.
