Oakland Hills is home to two 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐝 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐬 courses, led by the famed South Course, known throughout golf as “The Monster.” The South has hosted six U.S. Opens, three PGA Championships, the 2004 Ryder Cup, multiple U.S. Amateurs and numerous other national championships, welcoming generations of the greatest players in the game. The South Course underwent an extensive restoration led by 𝐆𝐢𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐞 and 𝐉𝐢𝐦 𝐖𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐫, reopening in 2021 with the goal of restoring the character and strategy of Ross’ original design. Golf Digest currently ranks the South Course 𝐍𝐨. 𝟐𝟎 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 for 2025-26, and the club remains firmly established among the great venues in championship golf. A note from American Junior Golf Association: The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. We are raising money to support junior golfers who lack the financial resources to compete in national golf events. All funds raised from this auction will be used to provide scholarships allowing these juniors and their families to get reimbursed for travel related expenses, tournament fees, equipment, and other expenses related to being competitive.
The AJGA hosts over 150 tournaments a year and college coaches, equipment suppliers, and sponsors are invited to each event giving these juniors a chance to display their skills and earn college scholarships.
Every dollar raised through this auction will go directly back to the juniors and our Liberty National Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant. Tax receipts will be sent to the winning bidder. Questions can be directed to the AJGA by emailing pclarke@ajga.org.
