Founded in 1882 and located in Brookline, Mass., The Country Club is one of the oldest clubs in the United States and one of five charter members that founded the United States Golf Association in 1894. It has played host to 17 USGA national championships, more than all but one other club. And it has served as the site for a number of the game’s most important events. These include the 1913 U.S. Open, won by amateur and Brookline-native Francis Ouimet, which began the golf boom in America; the 1999 Ryder Cup that featured the U.S. team’s dramatic Sunday comeback; 1902 U.S. Women’s Amateur, the club’s first national championship, won by Genevieve Hecker; and four U.S. Opens (1913, 1963, 1988, 2022), three of which finished in playoffs. Founded in 1901, the Boston Red Sox are surely one of the most iconic teams in all of baseball. The team has played out of Fenway Park since 1912, making it the oldest active stadium in the MLB. One element of the stadium that you don't want to miss is the Green Monster. This 310 foot left field wall has now become one of the most beloved baseball stadium quirks in all of the MLB. This item is for an accompanied round of golf for three at The Country Club and 3 Boston Red Sox Premium Seat Tickets
A note from American Junior Golf Association: The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. We are raising money to support junior golfers who lack the financial resources to compete in national golf events. All funds raised from this auction will be used to provide scholarships allowing these juniors and their families to get reimbursed for travel related expenses, tournament fees, equipment, and other expenses related to being competitive.
The AJGA hosts 140 tournaments a year and college coaches, equipment suppliers, and sponsors are invited to each event giving these juniors a chance to display their skills and earn college scholarships.
Every dollar raised through this auction will go directly back to the juniors and our Liberty National Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant. Tax receipts will be sent to the winning bidder. Questions can be directed to the AJGA by emailing hcollins@ajga.org.
Item delivery: After you've paid for any auction items that you've won, the event organizer will contact you to coordinate delivery. Auctions won that include golf at private clubs will be coordinated through the AJGA in partnership with the private club and/or the hosting member. Winners of auction items should read carefully the terms and conditions included with the particular item you're bidding on and the winner and where included, guests, must comply with all T's & C's listed.
