White Bear Yacht Club was founded as a Yacht Club in 1889. Famed as a Club northeast of the Twin Cities, the property sits on the shorelines of White Bear Lake and was founded by group of St. Paul sailors. Over the years of WBYC's history, famed golfers, such as Harry Vardon and Jimmy Johnson, have helped shaped the legacy we've buit. Harry Vardon's brother, Tom, served as one of the original Golf Professionals from 1935-1940. Jimmy Johnson, a Minnesota Native, grew up playing at WBYC and is best known as the first amateur to win the U.S. Open west of the Mississippi, hosted at Pebble Beach Golf Links in 1929. He went on to beat Bobby Jones in a playoff. Golf course architect, Tom Doak, described the course as “Our favorite course in the Twin Cities, White Bear Yacht Club is one of the last hidden gems in America –" This item is for an unaccompanied round of golf for four.

A note from American Junior Golf Association: The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. We are raising money to support junior golfers who lack the financial resources to compete in national golf events. All funds raised from this auction will be used to provide scholarships allowing these juniors and their families to get reimbursed for travel related expenses, tournament fees, equipment, and other expenses related to being competitive. The AJGA hosts 140 tournaments a year and college coaches, equipment suppliers, and sponsors are invited to each event giving these juniors a chance to display their skills and earn college scholarships. Every dollar raised through this auction will go directly back to the juniors and our Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant. Tax receipts will be sent to the winning bidder. Questions can be directed to the AJGA by emailing hwaits@ajga.org.

Item delivery: After you've paid for any auction items that you've won, the event organizer will contact you to coordinate delivery. Items won that include specific dates such as PGA TOUR tickets or AJGA tournament dates can not be changed or altered. Auctions won that include golf at private clubs will be coordinated through the AJGA in partnership with the private club and/or the hosting member. Winners of auction items should read carefully the terms and conditions included with the particular item you're bidding on and the winner and where included, guests, must comply with all T's & C's listed.
