Named “Best New Private Course” by Golf Digest during its opening year in 2006, The Concession was designed in honor of the 1969 Ryder Cup, where Jack Nicklaus conceded a putt to Tony Jacklin. That gesture, known as “the concession,” rendered the two teams in a tie – the first in Ryder Cup history – and became known as one of the greatest acts of sportsmanship ever. Nicklaus and Jacklin teamed up to design The Concession, home to some of the best golf in Florida. The championship golf course is currently ranked by Golf Digest as the seventh-best course in Florida and home of the 2021 PGA Workday World Golf Championship at The Concession. This top private golf club in the Tampa Bay area, located in Lakewood Ranch, is a quick trip from Sarasota, Bradenton, Tampa and the area’s famed beaches, shopping and arts attractions. Nelly Korda is an LPGA Champion, Olympian, Solheim Cup Team member and most importantly world #1. Included in this package are two exclusive items from Nelly's inaugural AJGA event at Concession in 2024. This item includes golf for four, (cart and caddy fees included), signed Nelly Korda head cover and AJGA tournament flag.
A note from American Junior Golf Association: The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. We are raising money to support junior golfers who lack the financial resources to compete in national golf events. All funds raised from this auction will be used to provide scholarships allowing these juniors and their families to get reimbursed for travel related expenses, tournament fees, equipment, and other expenses related to being competitive.
The AJGA hosts 140 tournaments a year and college coaches, equipment suppliers, and sponsors are invited to each event giving these juniors a chance to display their skills and earn college scholarships.
Every dollar raised through this auction will go directly back to the juniors and our Liberty National Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant. Tax receipts will be sent to the winning bidder. Questions can be directed to the AJGA by emailing hcollins@ajga.org.
Item delivery: After you've paid for any auction items that you've won, the event organizer will contact you to coordinate delivery. Items won that include specific dates such as PGA TOUR tickets or AJGA tournament dates can not be changed or altered. Auctions won that include golf at private clubs will be coordinated through the AJGA in partnership with the private club and/or the hosting member. Winners of auction items should read carefully the terms and conditions included with the particular item you're bidding on and the winner and where included, guests, must comply with all T's & C's listed. This can include dress code, travel dates, and other similar guidelines.
