A top 15 course in the United States, Friar's Head is set in 350 acres, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and opened for play in 2003 with the philosophy that golf at Friar’s Head should be about options and creativity. Friar’s Head is routed through rugged, wooded dunes and former farmland. The golfer is seamlessly transported between these different environments. The sandy stretches — including from 7-10 and 13-18 — are mesmerizing, but holes like the maddening 5th with its rippling ground contours and the classic dogleg 6th that tempts you to hug the corner off the tee are design standouts in their own right. Constant refinements, no matter how minor, have Friar’s Head as dialed-in as any course in the country. With the portfolio of courses that Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw have built, the fact that Friar’s Head is in the conversation for their best work should tell you all you need to know about how special this place is. This item is for a round of golf for three.
A note from American Junior Golf Association: The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. We are raising money to support junior golfers who lack the financial resources to compete in national golf events. All funds raised from this auction will be used to provide scholarships allowing these juniors and their families to get reimbursed for travel related expenses, tournament fees, equipment, and other expenses related to being competitive.
The AJGA hosts 140 tournaments a year and college coaches, equipment suppliers, and sponsors are invited to each event giving these juniors a chance to display their skills and earn college scholarships.
Every dollar raised through this auction will go directly back to the juniors and our Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant. Tax receipts will be sent to the winning bidder. Questions can be directed to the AJGA by emailing hwaits@ajga.org.
Item delivery: After you've paid for any auction items that you've won, the event organizer will contact you to coordinate delivery. Items won that include specific dates such as PGA TOUR tickets or AJGA tournament dates can not be changed or altered. Auctions won that include golf at private clubs will be coordinated through the AJGA in partnership with the private club and/or the hosting member. Winners of auction items should read carefully the terms and conditions included with the particular item you're bidding on and the winner and where included, guests, must comply with all T's & C's listed.
